Chakravarthy (1987 Film)
''Chakravarthy'' is a 1987 Indian Telugu-language film, directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and produced by Kodali Venkateswara Rao. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Bhanupriya and Ramya Krishna. The film had a musical score by Chakravarthy. It was released on 4 June 1987. Plot Anji (Chiranjeevi) is a rough and tough guy, but he has soft spot for his sister Laxmi (Ramya Krishna). A Swamiji (J. V. Somayajulu) at his place, provides shelter to a number of orphans. Mohan ( Mohan Babu) a childhood friend of Anji comes to that village as a police inspector. The president of that village tries to occupy the ashram by hook or by crook. He even sets the ashram on fire, but Anji, in an attempt to save children, loses his left eye. Swamiji requests Mohan to marry Anji's sister, but Laxmi is already in love with her classmate Prembabu. But, when Prembabu behaves nastily, Anji beats him black and blue, and Prembabu dies later. Ravi Raja Pinisetty
Ravi Raja Pinisetty is an Indian film director known for his works in the Telugu cinema with actors such as Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Mohan Babu, Rajasekhar (actor), Rajasekhar and Daggubati Venkatesh. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (born Chembolu Seetharama Sastry; 20 May 1955 – 30 November 2021) was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for K. Viswanath's directorial film of the same name in 1986. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020. Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs. His career in the Telugu cinema spanned more than four decades. He was highly admired and cherished for his deep and thoughtful lyrics in Telugu songs. Early life Veturi was born to Chandrasekhar Sastry and Kamalamba in Pedakallepalli, near Challapalli, Krishna into a Telugu Brahmin family.
