Chad Kackert
Charles "Chad" Kackert (born September 15, 1986) is a former Canadian football running back who played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at New Hampshire. He was also a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). Early years and college career Kackert played for Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley, California where his 3,437 yards rushing as a senior in 2004 rank #5 all-time in California high school football history. He was recruited by offensive coordinator Chip Kelly to play for the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH, he rushed for 2,587 career yards (#7 all-time at UNH) on 462 carries. As a senior in 2009, Kackert was All-CAA Second-team and earned the University's Bob Demers 12th Player Award after gaining 780 rushing yards and scoring 10 rushing TDs. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. The primary roles of a running back are to receive American football plays#Offensive terminology, handoffs from the quarterback to Rush (American football)#Offense, rush the ball, to line up as a receiver to catch the ball, and Blocking (American football), block. Training Camp (National Football League)
In the National Football League, training camp refers to the time before the season commences. During this time, teams sometimes congregate at an outside location, usually a university, to conduct training camp for at least the first few weeks. This is similar to baseball's spring training. Training camp is used in several different ways. New players and coaches use it to acclimate themselves to new teammates and systems. For younger players, it serves as a period of evaluation; for veterans, it is time to return to form. Training camp is divided into several different components. The first is scrimmages.
