Chaand Nagpaul
Chaand Nagpaul is a British doctor who works as a general practitioner and was Chair of the Council of the British Medical Association 2017-2022. Nagpaul took over as chair from Mark Porter in June 2017. Early life Nagpaul commenced medical undergraduate studies in October 1979 at St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, qualifying with MBBS degree in 1985 with full registration with GMC in 1986. Medical career Nagpaul has been a general practitioner in Stanmore since 1990. He was inspired to become a GP when he attended a practice in inner London while a medical student, although this was not his initial field, having worked for 5 years in various hospital posts after qualifying. Commander Of The Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female.
