''Chaahat'' () is a 1996 Indian Hindi language romantic musical film by director Mahesh Bhatt. The cast of this film is Shah Rukh Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Naseeruddin Shah, Ramya Krishnan and Anupam Kher. Shah Rukh Khan acquired the rights of this film from Mahesh Bhatt in October 2013 under the banner, Red Chillies Entertainment. The film was remade in Odia as ''Prem Rogi'' in 2009. Plot Roop Singh Rathore is a singer in Rajasthan just like his father, who is now sick and needs immediate medical care in Bombay. One day, while he is singing at Ajay Narang's hotel, Ajay's sister Reshma falls in love with Roop. Reshma is a spoiled girl and Ajay sees through all of her wishes. ''Chahat'' (''Desire'') is a 1971 Hindi-language romance film, produced by G. M. Roshan under the New Film Corporation banner and directed by Moni Bhattacharjee. It stars Biswajeet, Mala Sinha, Jeetendra, Mumtaz in lead roles and the music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. This is the only Black & White film of Jeetendra in his entire career. Plot Ashok's mother died soon after delivery, which is considered a bad omen. Chahat Pandey(born 1 June 1999) is an Indian television actress who has portrayed lead roles as Pakhi Parekh in '' Hamari Bahu Silk'', Durga Aneja in ''Durga – Mata Ki Chhaya'' and Mahua Mishra in ''Nath – Zewar Ya Zanjeer''. Personal life Chahat Pandey was born and raised in Chandi Chopra village, Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. Her mother is Bhavna Pandey. She studied in Chandi Chopra to the 5th standard. Her father died when she was young. She completed the 10th standard from Adarsh School in Jabalpur Naka, and the 12th standard at JPB school, both in Damoh district. She also did acting training in Indore with Balaji Group. She moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting career.
