Stojan Cerović
Stojan Cerović (9 July 1949 in Titograd, PR Montenegro, FPR Yugoslavia – 21 March 2005 in Paris, France) was a Serbian journalist. Biography Cerović graduated from the University of Belgrade with a degree in psychology in 1973. Cerović's early professional life was spent opposing Tito in his post-graduate years, the 1970s, then Milošević and his opposition. He had twice evaded the draft. In 1992, during the wake of the war with Croatia, Cerović co-founded the Centre for Anti-War Action in Belgrade and refused induction into the armed forces, calling on his peers to do likewise in a widely-broadcast radio interview. For weeks Cerović was forced to lie low in Montenegro, but returned to Belgrade when things simmered down and resumed writing his column lambasting Milošević and his officials who were still in power. Novica Cerović
Novica Cerović ( sr-Cyrl, Новица Цepoвић; 1805–1895) was a Montenegrin '' vojvoda'' (duke) of the Drobnjak clan, who is noted as having defeated and killed a local Ottoman tyrant, Smail-aga Čengić, on the auspices of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, the Prince-Bishop of Montenegro. He later became a senator in the Montenegrin government. Life Cerović was born in Tušina, a village near Šavnik in the Drobnjaci clan, then part of the Ottoman Empire (today in Montenegro). His most noted act was leading a successful assault to kill local Ottoman tyrant Smail-aga Čengić under the auspices of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš thereby freeing parts of Herzegovina from the Ottoman Empire and joining them to the Principality of Montenegro. Miloš Cerović ( sr, Милош Церовић; born April 7, 1980) is a Serbian former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. He is a 2000 Olympian, and a member of the Ohio State University swimming and diving team while studying in the United States. Cerovic competed only in the men's 200 m backstroke at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, as a member of the former Yugoslav squad. He posted a FINA B-standard entry time of 2:07.03 from the U.S. National Championships in Federal Way, Washington. He challenged five other swimmers in heat one, including Hong Kong's Alex Fong, who later became one of city's most popular singers. Ivan Cerović (born 1 March 1982) is a former professional tennis player from Croatia. Biography Born in Slovenia, Cerovic is from the Croatian city of Rijeka. As a junior, he made it to number 31 in the world and reached the quarter-finals of the boys' singles at the 2000 US Open. He competed in his first ATP Tour tournament in Umag, the 2001 Croatia Open, appearing in the doubles with Marko Tkalec, for an opening round exit. Mostly he played on the Challenger circuit and won a title in 2005, the doubles at the Samarkand Challenger. In 2006, he featured in a Davis Cup tie for Croatia, an away fixture against Austria in Graz. The Croatians secured the tie after the doubles so Cerovic was given an opportunity in the first of the reverse singles. He lost the match to Alexander Peya in three sets.
