Centro, Puerto Vallarta
Centro, or Downtown, is the historic center of Puerto Vallarta, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The district is north of Zona Romántica and the Cuale River, and south of 5 de Diciembre. Features Centro features Rosita Beach. The district has many landmarks, including the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Los Arcos, the Malecón and its many sculptures, and Plaza de Armas. Church Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe (Puerto Vallarta)
The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, known locally as the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, is a Catholic place of worship in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. It is open daily, with services in English available on Saturdays and mass in both Spanish and English on Sundays. The Church, built between 1930 and 1940, was constructed on the original foundations of a chapel initially dedicated to Lady Guadalupe in 1901. The Church is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin Mary. She is the patron saint of Mexico and is considered a religious symbol of Catholic faith and female empowerment. Her feast day on 12 December is also the date of her first apparition. To celebrate this festival (fiesta), many individuals in the Mexican community display altars in their homes consisting of a painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe surrounded by flowers, candles, and other individual touches. Sergio Bustamante (artist)
Sergio Bustamante is a Mexican artist and sculptor. He was born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, in 1949, and studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara. Bustamante's first art exhibition showcased paintings and papier-mâché figures at the Galeria Misracha in Mexico City in 1966. In 1975, Bustamante was part of a group of artists that established the "Family Workshop Studio" in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. In the mid-1970s, his practice expanded to include wood and bronze sculpture. Statue Of Lorena Ochoa
A statue of former Mexican professional golfer Lorena Ochoa was installed in Puerto Vallarta, in 2012. Alejandro Colunga Marín is a Mexican artist, painter and sculptor. Early life He was born in Guadalajara on 11 December 1948 and studied architecture between 1967 and 1971 and music and hospitality in 1971–1973 at Conservatorio del Estado de Jalisco.
