Centricity Music is an American contemporary Christian music record label that was founded in Washington. The label's roster includes artists such as Lauren Daigle, Jordan Feliz, Jason Gray, North Point Worship, Andrew Peterson and NEEDTOBREATHE. History Centricity Music was started in 2003 by a Seattle family. Soon after, the label started an office in Nashville. Centricity Music houses recording and publishing divisions. The label is known for their focus on artist development. Downhere's Glen Lavender was quoted saying that "Centricity's philosophy is more about 'building the artist up.' Word Records is a Christian faith-based entertainment company based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is owned by Curb Records, and is a part of Word Entertainment. It is distributed by Warner Records (the former Warner Bros. Records). History In 1951, Word Records was founded in Waco, Texas by Jarrell McCracken, Baylor business major Henry SoRelle and radio/television executive Ted Snider. The label's name is based on a 16-minute spoken word recording written and narrated by McCracken, the first recording released by the label, entitled "The Game of Life". Chris Renzema
Christopher David Renzema (REN-ze-ma) is a singer/songwriter and performer based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Chris grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he learned to play guitar, write songs, and performed at local churches. Renzema blends aspects of Indie Rock, Contemporary Christian, and Folk amongst other musical influences. His self-produced albums have been played in churches across the country and made a strong impact on digital listeners. Caitie Hurst is a Christian pop artist from Hendersonville, Tennessee. She is signed to Centricity Music. History Caitie Hurst grew up in a musical family; her father was part of a touring Christian band. While she looked up to female Contemporary Christian music artists and loved singing, she self-describes herself as being awkward and insecure back then. She never wanted to sing in front of anyone. High Valley is a Canadian country music band from Blumenort, Alberta, a small community near the hamlet of La Crete.
