Centre Party (Turkey)
The Centre Party (Turkish: ''Merkez Parti'') is a political party in Turkey formed on 2 June 2014 by Abdurrahim Karslı. The party was the result of the politicisation of the People's Voice Movement, with attempts to create a political party beginning in 2011. The party is claimed to be liberal, but has been accused of being affiliated with exiled cleric Fethullah Gülen. Despite Karslı's claims that up to 15 smaller political parties were thinking of merging with the party amongst talk of MP defections, it has no seats in the National Assembly, after it received 0.05% of the vote in the June 2015 election and did not contest the subsequent November 2015 election. It was previously represented by a single member in the parliament; Ercan Cengiz who resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) on 25 January 2015. The party's membership is formed by politicians formerly of other parties such as the Motherland Party, the Nationalist Movement Party and the Democratic Left Part ...

November 2015 Turkish General Election
General elections were held in Turkey on 1 November 2015 to elect 550 members to the Grand National Assembly. They were the 25th general elections in the History of the Republic of Turkey and elected the country's 26th Parliament. The election resulted in the Justice and Development Party (AKP) regaining a Parliamentary majority following a 'shock' victory, having lost it five months earlier in the June 2015 general elections. The snap elections were called by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 24 August 2015 after the June election resulted in a hung parliament and coalition negotiations broke down. Although the election, dubbed as a 're-run' of the inconclusive June election by President Erdoğan, was the 7th early election in the history of Turkish politics, it was the first to be overseen by an interim election government. The election rendered the 25th Parliament of Turkey, elected in June, the shortest in the Grand National Assembly's history, lasting for just five ...

Democratic Left Party (Turkey)
The Democratic Left Party ( tr, Demokratik Sol Parti, abbreviated DSP) is a Turkish political party, founded on 14 November 1985 by Rahşan Ecevit and Bülent Ecevit. History 1985–1999 The DSP, a social-democratic oriented party, was registered on 14 November 1985 by Rahşan Ecevit, wife of Bülent Ecevit, as he was banned from political life after the 1980 coup d'état. In 1986 Bülent Ecevit addressed the DSP convention in Ankara, declaring his support for the party. The address landed him in court for allegedly violating the political bans. The DSP was unable, however, to achieve a substantial showing in the 1986 by-elections even though Ecevit, despite his ban, continued to campaign at the party's rallies as a "guest speaker". The political ban on Ecevit was lifted following a referendum in 1987. Later that year, Rahşan Ecevit handed over the rule of the party to her spouse. But the party failed to pass the 10% national threshold needed for a political party to hav ...
