Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (Mobility Authority) is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Travis and Williamson Counties in Texas. The Mobility Authority is headquartered at 3300 N. IH 35 in Austin. Governance The Mobility Authority is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors. The Governor appoints the Chairman, and the Travis and Williamson Counties Commissioners Courts each appoint three members to serve on the Board. Board members serve two-year terms and may be reappointed to subsequent terms. Board members are not compensated for their service. The Mobility Authority employs a professional staff of 32. The Mobility Authority uses private sector contractors with specialized expertise to provide staffing support for individual projects. Travis County, Texas
Travis County is located in south central Texas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,290,188. It is the fifth-most populous county in Texas. Its county seat is Austin, the capital of Texas. Farm to Market Road 734 (FM 734) is a farm-to-market road in Travis and Williamson counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the state-maintained portion of Parmer Lane, a major arterial road in the region. Most of the route's length is located just within the northern city limits of Austin, with portions located in Cedar Park, Leander, and unincorporated areas. Route description The southern terminus of FM 734 is at US 290, just west of Manor in Travis County. It travels northwest to intersect with Interstate 35 (I-35). It continues to Loop 1 and crosses SH 45 and RM 620 in northwest Austin before reaching its northern terminus at RM 1431 in Cedar Park. The roadway continues beyond RM 1431 as Ronald W. Mopac Expressway
MOPAC is a popular computer program used in computational chemistry. It is designed to implement semi-empirical quantum chemistry algorithms, and it runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. MOPAC2016 is the current version. MOPAC2016 is able to perform calculations on small molecules and enzymes using PM7, PM6, PM3, AM1, MNDO, and RM1. The Sparkle model (for lanthanide chemistry) is also available. Academic users can use this program for free, whereas government and commercial users must purchase the software. MOPAC was largely written by Michael Dewar's research group at the University of Texas at Austin. Its name is derived from ''Molecular Orbital PACkage'', and it is also a pun on the Mopac Expressway that runs around Austin. Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is the federally mandated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) responsible for comprehensive transportation planning in the Austin, Texas, USA area, including Williamson, Travis, Hays, Bastrop, Burnet and Caldwell counties. CAMPO is one of 25 Texas MPOs. MPOs are federally required throughout the country in areas with a population of 50,000 or more and are required to produce a 20+ year transportation plan, called a Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), and a four-year planning document called the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). Ranch to Market Road 2222 (RM 2222) is a ranch to market road in Travis County, Texas, maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Route description RM 2222 begins at an intersection with RM 620 in west Austin in the Four Points neighborhood. Northwest of RM 620, the road is called Bullick Hollow Road and continues to the east side of Lake Travis. RM 2222 proceeds southeast from RM 620 for to intersect Loop 360.
