Central Police Division
The Central Police Division (or 'A' Division), is one of the seven land division of the Singapore Police Force. It was established in 1867 and is the longest-serving Police Division in Singapore. Amongst the seven land divisions covering all of Singapore's primary land mass, Central Division has the smallest operational area, covering just over 27 square kilometres and has a residential population of around 280,000. History The Central Police Division was originally situated at the Hill Street Police Station before moving to the Eu Tong Sen Street Police Station in 1982, it relocated again in 1994 to the Beach Road Police Station before finally settling down at the new Police Cantonment Complex in 2000. The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is the national and principal Police, law enforcement agency responsible for the prevention of crime and law enforcement in the Republic of Singapore. It is the country's lead agency against organised crime; human, weapon trafficking; cyber crime; as well as economic crime that goes across domestic and international borders, but can be tasked to investigate any crime under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Singapore), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and is accountable to the Parliament of Singapore. Old Hill Street Police Station
The Old Hill Street Police Station is a historic building and former police station of the Singapore Police Force located at Hill Street within the Downtown Core in the Central Area of Singapore. Also known as ''Balai Polis Hill Street Lama'' and ( Chinese: 旧禧街警察局) in Malay and Chinese respectively, the name was changed from Old Hill Street Police Station to "MITA Building" in 1999, followed by "MICA Building" in 2004. After the change of ministries in November 2012, the name "MICA Building" was reverted to "Old Hill Street Police Station". The building has a total of 927 windows and they are painted in the colours of the rainbow. Some may notice that the coloured windows on the first four stories have the same vibrant intensity, while the upper windows gradually intensify to accentuate the cantilevered balconies which are interesting architectural features of this historical building. Police Cantonment Complex
The Police Cantonment Complex (PCC) is a high-rise government complex located on 391 New Bridge Road, Singapore 088762, next to Outram Park MRT station. It was officially opened in July 2001. Amenities and architecture The design of the building integrates the varied operational requirements of the major offices to create a modern, efficient and user-friendly environment. Each department block has its own distinct identity and yet when viewed together, project a uniform identity. The semi-circular structure at the corner depicts a soaring bird's wing. The energy-efficient aluminium and glass curtain-wall, intelligent building management system, document conveying system and central vacuum system are some of the unique features of the main complex. Ang Mo Kio Police Division
The Ang Mo Kio Police Division (or 'F' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. It was first established in 1965. It was previously located in Paya Lebar. In 1987, the division HQ moved to its present location (51 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9 Singapore 569784) to better serve the public and meet its operational needs. Ang Mo Kio Division serves a residential population of over 1.1 million residents. Ang Mo Kio Division’s area of coverage includes mature housing estates such as Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Serangoon. It also oversees young but rapidly-developing residential estates like Sengkang and Punggol. Bedok Police Division
The Bedok Police Division (or 'G' Division) is one of the seven land division of the Singapore Police Force. Bedok Division covers approximately 114 square kilometres of the eastern sector of Singapore. The building became operational on 1 August 1987 when the former Joo Chiat Police Station at East Coast Road was closed down. Bedok Division initially comprised seven Neighbourhood Police Centres (NPC) and 16 Neighbourhood Police Posts (NPP). The seven NPCs are Bedok North, Bedok South, Changi, Geylang, Marine Parade, Pasir Ris and Tampines. Bedok Division serves about 800 thousand residents in private and public housing estates within our boundaries. Special Operations Command (Singapore)
The Special Operations Command (SOC) is a specialist police tactical unit of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) specialising in riot control and high-threat incidents. It was formed on 10 September 1992 to unify specialist units into a single strategic reserve force that the regular officers need to call upon in any contingency plan and serious case of public disorder. Kallang
Kallang is a planning area and residential town located in the Central Region of Singapore. Development of the town is centered around the Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore.
