Schools The school district operates the following schools: * Central Plains Jr/Sr High School in Claflin * Central Plains Elementary School in Holyrood * Wilson Jr/Sr High School in Wilson, closing in spring 2023 * Wilson Elementary School in Wilson History The USD was formed in 2010 from the merger of Lorraine USD 328 and Claflin USD 354. Holyrood is a city in Ellsworth County, Kansas, Ellsworth County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population of the city was 403. The original site of Holyrood was a half-mile south of Holyrood's present site. When settlers first moved into the area, dugout houses were the home of choice. Some of the first names to appear in the area were Phelan, Corrigan, Schepmann, and Siemsen as noted in the St. Peter Lutheran Church's earliest records. The first post office in Holyrood was established in June 1874, but the name of the post office was spelled Hollyrood. The name was changed on July 26, 1898. Odin is an unincorporated community in Barton County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the community and nearby areas was 87. It is located northwest of Claflin at the intersection of NE 140 Rd and NE 90 Ave. History Odin had a post office from 1877 until 1906.
