Central Malacca District
Melaka Tengah District (Central Malacca) is one of the 4 administrative districts in Malacca, Malaysia. It borders Masjid Tanah District to the north-west, Alor Gajah District to the north and Jasin District to the east. The capital of the state, Malacca City, is located in this district. This district is the major destination of tourists in Malacca as most historical spots are situated within it. Government Melaka Tengah is administered by two local authorities, which are Historical Malacca City Council ( ms, Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah, MBMB) and Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council ( ms, Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya, MPHTJ). Administrative divisions Melaka Tengah consists of 29 mukim, 44 towns and 95 villages. Jasin District
Jasin District is one of the three administrative district in Malacca, Malaysia. It borders Tangkak District of Johor to the east, Tampin District of Negeri Sembilan to the north and Alor Gajah District and Melaka Tengah District to the west. The district capital is Jasin Town. History The early establishment of Jasin started since the establishment of small settlement by the local people. They chose an area near river mainly for their water supply, communication and agricultural purpose. To sustain life, they planted paddy and grew vegetables and fruit.
