The Central Coast Roosters, formerly Central Coast Centurions, are an Australian rugby league football club (previously known as the Rip or Storm) based in the Central Coast region in New South Wales. They competed in the New South Wales Cup which they exited in 2011. The club still competes in the NSWRL Women's Premiership, S. G. Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup competitions. History Rip (2005-2006) The club was founded as the Central Coast Rip in 2005 and competed in the S. G. Ball Cup, Harold Matthews Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup. The players were a mix of talent from the local Central Coast Division of Country Rugby League - Group 12 Competition. Sydney Bulls
The Sydney Bulls were a rugby league team based in the suburb of Bass Hill in south-western Sydney. Founded in 1999, the club was formed by Lebanese-Australian players and businessmen who were involved in the 1997 Lebanon Rugby League World Sevens side. Since 2000, the Bulls competed in the semi-professional Metropolitan Cup and, since its inception in 2003, the NSWRL Jim Beam Cup competition in NSW, Australia. Their colours are black, white green and red. They were included in the NSW Cup for 2009 and acted as a feeder club for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs under the name of the Bankstown City Bulls. The Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. They compete in Australasia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership. Central Coast Bears
The Central Coast Bears were a proposed rugby league club based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. They were trying to be included in an expanded National Rugby League competition. The proposed team would have played 11 games in Gosford and one game against Manly at North Sydney Oval, in the annual Heritage Round. The North Sydney Bears is an Australian rugby league football club based in North Sydney, New South Wales. The club competes in the New South Wales Cup, having exited the National Rugby League following the 1999 NRL season after 90 years in the premier rugby league competition in Australia. Greg Florimo
Greg Florimo (born 17 May 1967) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and current rugby league administrator known for his lifelong association with the North Sydney Bears both as a player and CEO. Early life Florimo began playing as a junior in the North Sydney district for Willoughby at age seven before playing for McMahons Point, Crows Nest and North Sydney Brothers. He also played for the Lane Cove Rugby Club Juniors. His secondary education was at North Sydney Boys High School. The competition has a history dating back to the NSWRFL's origins in 1908, starting off as a reserve grade competition, and is now the premier open age competition in the state. Ryan Tandy (20 September 1981 – 28 April 2014) was international rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. Brian Pala Lima '' OM'' (born 25 January 1972) is a Samoan former rugby union player who was inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame in 2011. He earned the nickname of "The Chiropractor" for his shuddering hits both on and off the pitch that supposedly rearranged the bones of the victim. National team Lima was born in Apia, Samoa.
