Centenary Motorway
The M5 (Centenary Motorway) is a motorway in the western suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. It starts as a two-lane arterial road at Yamanto, travelling to Springfield, where it becomes a two-lane highway and travels across the M2 Logan Motorway at Ellen Grove (formerly Metroad 4 / M4) and ends at Kenmore where it changes its name to the M5 Western Freeway. It features eight interchanges, the major ones being with the M7 Ipswich Motorway (formerly Metroad 2 / M2) in Darra and another at Sinnamon Park. The Centenary Freeway links traffic from the west to the north of Brisbane. In October 2012, it was announced that the planned bikeway from Springfield to the existing bikeway along the Motorway would not proceed. Western Freeway, Brisbane
The Western Freeway is a freeway in western Brisbane that runs from Milton Road in Toowong to the western side of Indooroopilly where the freeway becomes the M5 Centenary Motorway. The freeway bears the symbol and forms part of Metroad 5. There is one interchange, at Indooroopilly onto Moggill Road. A bicycle path runs the length of the freeway, allowing commuting to Toowong and onto Brisbane by bicycle. Options are currently being investigated in to a possible Kenmore Bypass. This would connect with the M5 along the existing preserved corridor to Chuwar, Queensland. This preserved corridor was identified in the 1960s for a future freeway. Springfield Central is a suburb in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. In the , Springfield Central had a population of 114 people. It is the designated business district of Greater Springfield. Geography The Centenary Highway forms the northern boundary of the suburb. The slip roads to and from the motorway carriageways converge at a single roundabout, which is grade-separated from the motorway lanes with bridges. Brisbane River
