''Celebrity Big Brother 2012'', also known as ''Celebrity Big Brother 9'', was the ninth series of the British reality television series '' Celebrity Big Brother''. It began on 5 January 2012 and ended on 27 January 2012. It was the second Celebrity series to air on Channel 5 as part of the channel's then two-year contract with the show and the ninth series of the show to air overall. The series was sponsored by Plusnet. This was the first of two series of ''Celebrity Big Brother'' to air in 2012. The series was won by actress and television presenter Denise Welch. Nicola McLean returned to the house for '' Celebrity Big Brother 19'' as an All-Star, representing this series. She left the house in fifth place. Brian Dowling (presenter)
Brian Patrick Robert Dowling (born 13 June 1978) is an Irish television presenter. He rose to fame after winning the second series of reality series '' Big Brother'', and went on to win ''Ultimate Big Brother'' in 2010. In 2007, he came third in ''Hell's Kitchen'' and in 2008, he was runner-up in the Irish reality television series '' Fáilte Towers''. Dowling then guest-presented ''Live from Studio Five'' alongside Kate Walsh from 2010 until its cancellation in February 2011. On 22 July 2011, it was confirmed that Dowling would become the new host of ''Big Brother'' upon its transfer to Channel 5, replacing Davina McCall. Starman (band)
Starman was a British pop band formed in 2009 by Andrew Stone, a dance teacher at London-based Pineapple Dance Studios. Formation and history The band line-up initially consisted of Andrew Stone, Jesus Ruiz, Craig Custance, Mickey Cowdroy, Rosalee O'Connell and Luka Cadez. Starman described their music as a high-energy mix of pop and 1980s electro, with a broad range of beats, melodies and riffs.
