Celebration In The Air
Celebration in the Air () is a year-long event celebrating Hong Kong Disneyland's 5th Anniversary, which is currently held in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. Although the official day of the park's 5th anniversary was 12 September 2010, the event officially begins on 21 January 2011, which was also a day for press events and premieres. Theme song The theme song for the event is called "Celebration in the Air", which is composed by Rony Fortich, the music director of Hong Kong Disneyland. The lyrics of Cantonese version is written by Albert Leung. The song's premiere was performed in live by Kelly Chen and Hacken Lee during the launch ceremony on 21 January 2011. Part of the song is composed in the show music of Tinker Bell Castle Illumination. The song's instrumental version is then played after the show as the exit music. Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is a resort built and owned by Hong Kong International Theme Parks Limited, a joint venture of the Government of Hong Kong and The Walt Disney Company in Hong Kong on reclaimed land beside Penny's Bay, at the northeastern tip of Lantau Island, approximately two kilometres from Discovery Bay. Officially opened on 12 September 2005, the resort contains the Hong Kong Disneyland theme park, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Hollywood Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge and several retail, dining and entertainment facilities covering of the island. Penny's Bay
Penny's Bay or Chok Ko Wan () was a bay in north-eastern Lantau Island, and had been a port since the Ming dynasty. The bay has since been reclaimed and is the site of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, which consists of the Hong Kong Disneyland theme park, Disneyland Hotel, and Disney's Hollywood Hotel, and the Inspiration Lake. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it became home to Penny's Bay Quarantine Centre. It is connected by a highway and a rail connection on the MTR Disneyland Resort line to Sunny Bay station. Lantau Island
Lantau Island (also Lantao Island, Lan Tao) is the largest island in Hong Kong, located West of Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula, and is part of the New Territories. Administratively, most of Lantau Island is part of the Islands District of Hong Kong. A small northeastern portion of the island is located in the Tsuen Wan District. Albert Leung (born 7 December 1961, ) is a lyricist and writer based in Hong Kong. Education Leung attended all-boy secondary schools at Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College and La Salle College. He received a bachelor of arts in translation from the University of Hong Kong in 1984. Songwriting career He has been a Cantopop lyricist since 1985, using the pen name Lam Chik. Hacken Lee
Lee Hak Kan (; born 6 December 1967), better known as Hacken Lee, is a Hong Kong singer, television host and actor, active from the 1980s until today. Pixie Hollow
Pixie Hollow is a character meet and greet attraction at Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland, offering guests the opportunity to meet Tinker Bell and her friends from the Disney Fairies franchise, including: Vidia, Terrence, Fawn, Rosetta, Silvermist, Iridessa, and Periwinkle. The attraction is designed to create the illusion of gradually shrinking to Pixie size as the scenic elements in the queue increase in scale as guests approach Tinker Bell's teapot house.
