Celebration Cruise Line was a small cruise line that operated two-day voyages out of Port of Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island. The company was founded in late 2008, and began operations on March 9, 2009. The company moved the ship's operations from Port Everglades to the Port of Palm Beach in March 2010. History The cruise line began operation in March 2009 with the ''Bahamas Celebration'', which was formerly a cruise ferry, built in 1981 and converted to a cruise ship in 2008. The cruise line replaced Imperial Majesty Cruise Line. In 2010, Celebration Cruise Line announced it would be moving to the Port of Palm Beach due to being overshadowed by larger cruise lines at Port Everglades. Margaritaville at Sea (formerly ''Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line'') is a cruise line that operates two-day voyages out of Port of Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, FL to Grand Bahama, Grand Bahama Island. The company was originally founded as Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line in late 2014, and began operating its first cruises in February 2015 with the now retired ''Grand Celebration''. In May of 2022 the company was rebranded to Margaritaville at Sea following a partnership between Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line and Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville brand. Their sole ship the ''Grand Classica'' was refurbished and renamed the ''Margaritaville at Sea Paradise''. Imperial Majesty Cruise Line was a budget cruise line that had operated 2 and 3 day voyages out of Port Everglades, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas. The company was founded in 1999. The cruise line attracted both vacationers and vintage ship fans from around the world. The cruise line's current operations ended on March 9, 2009, when the Regal Empress was retired. MS ''Bahamas Celebration'' was a midsize cruise ship formerly operated by Celebration Cruise Line. Between March 2009 and October 2014, she operated two- and three-day cruises from Port Everglades to the Bahamas. In March 2010 she started operating two-day cruises from the Port of Palm Beach. The ship was built in 1981 by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW) in Kiel, Germany, as MS ''Prinsesse Ragnhild'' for Jahre Line. In 1990 she was transferred to Color Line. The ''Celebration'' (also known as ''Grand Celebration'') was a cruise ship originally built for Carnival Cruise Line. She was the last out of three ships to be built for Carnival's Holiday Class of cruise ships. She last sailed for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line between 2015 and 2020. The ''Grand Celebration'' has since been retired for scrap in 2020 along with her remaining sister ship the ''Magellan'' (formerly ''Holiday'') and other ships that were also retired due the economic losses from cruise operations being suspended worldwide following the COVID-19 pandemic.
