Kwadendamme
Kwadendamme is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Borsele, and lies about 20 km east of Middelburg. History The village was first mentioned in 1581 as "Huybrecht Crijnsz. van Quaendamme", and means "dam which is in bad shape". Kwadendamme is dike village which developed in the Late Middle Ages on the dike between Oud- and Nieuw-Vreelandsepolder. The St Bonifatius Church was built between 1901 and 1902. In 1938, the tower was replaced by a tall needle spire after the original was damaged in a storm of 1919. The church was damaged by war in 1945. Kwadendamme was home to 358 people in 1840. Meerbeke is a village in the Denderstreek in the province of East Flanders in Belgium. Administratively it is part of the municipality of Ninove. This rural community is located along the Dender River on the western border of what is known as "Pajottenland". With a total surface of 1056ha it is the second largest village in Ninove (behind Denderwindeke). With 5.888 inhabitants (in 2021) it's the most populated village in Ninove, next to the centre of Ninove itself. Azuqueca de Henares is a municipality located in the province of Guadalajara, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. According to the 2013 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 34.685 inhabitants. The 34th Edition ''Vuelta a España'' (Tour of Spain), a long-distance bicycle stage race and one of the three grand tours, was held from 24 April to 13 May 1979. It consisted of 19 stages covering a total of , and was won by Joop Zoetemelk of the Miko-Mercier cycling team. Zoetemelk won two of the three ITT's and Fons De Wolf won the other. De Wolf also won the points classification as well as five stages, but Zoetemelk won the race with a comfortable lead ahead of Spanish climbing specialist Francisco Galdós and Michel Pollentier.
