Cedric Hunter (baseball)
Cedric Scott Hunter (born March 10, 1988) is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies. Career San Diego Padres Hunter was selected by the San Diego Padres in the third round (93rd overall) of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft. As of 2009, scout.com ranked Hunter as the top prospect for the San Diego Padres. Following the 2010 season, he was added to the Padres' 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. On March 28, 2011, he made the 25-man opening day roster for the Padres. During Opening Day on March 31, 2011, Hunter scored his first run as a Padre when playing against the St. Louis Cardinals, scoring from second base off a Nick Hundley single in the top of the 11th inning. Center Fielder
A center fielder, abbreviated CF, is the outfielder in baseball who plays defense in center field – the baseball and softball fielding position between left field and right field. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the center fielder is assigned the number 8. Position description Outfielders must cover large distances, so speed, instincts and quickness to react to the ball are key. They must be able to catch fly balls above their heads and on the run. They must be able to throw the ball accurately over a long distance to be effective. Arizona League
The Arizona Complex League (ACL) is a rookie-level Minor League Baseball league that operates in and around Phoenix, Arizona, since 1988. Prior to 2021, it was known as the Arizona League (AZL). Along with the Florida Complex League (FCL), it forms the lowest rung on the North American minor-league ladder. ACL teams play at the minor league spring training complexes of their parent Major League Baseball (MLB) clubs and are owned by those parent clubs. Admission is not charged and no concessions are operated at the teams' games. Every Cactus League team fields at least one team in the league. Night games are commonly played in the spring training stadium, although games may also be played at the team's practice fields. The Mexican League (, ) is a professional baseball league based in Mexico and the oldest running professional league in the country. The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. The Bravos de León (English: León Braves) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. History Cachorros de León (1979–80) Mexican League baseball in León began in 1979 when the Alijadores de Tampico moved to the city and became the Cachorros de León (León Lion Cubs). The first manager of the Cachorros was Benjamin "Papelero" Valenzuela.
