Cedarburg History Museum
The Cedarburg History Museum is located in the historic Hilgen & Schroeder Mill Store, which is also home to the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce and Cedarburg Visitor Center. The museum acquired the space in 2015 and began programming under the auspices of the Cedarburg Cultural Center in 2017. The Cedarburg History Museum has since 2019 functioned independently of the Cedarburg Cultural Center. The museum offers local photography collections in addition to its rotating exhibits. Cedarburg Mill
The Cedarburg Mill is a former gristmill in Cedarburg, Wisconsin that is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Located the on Cedar Creek, the building was constructed in 1855 by Frederick Hilgen and William Schroeder to replace a smaller wooden mill from the 1840s. At the time of its construction, the five-story structure was the tallest building in Cedarburg. History In 1844, Frederick Hilgen and William Schroeder built a wooden gristmill on the west bank of Cedar Creek in what would become the City of Cedarburg. By the 1850s, the millers needed a new structure to expand their business, and they employed Burchard Weber to design and build a new, stone mill. The east wing of the building was built first, followed by the main building, which employed a large earthen ramp to move locally quarried stone to higher levels. Cedarburg Cultural Center
The Cedarburg Cultural Center is located in the historic downtown of Cedarburg, Wisconsin. For more than 25 years it has provided a place for art, music and history to be shared with the community. Chudnow Museum Of Yesteryear
The Chudnow Museum of Yesteryear is a former museum that was started by Avrum (Abe) M. Chudnow in 1991. The museum was housed in an 1869 residence on 839 North 11th Street Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. This house was formerly a clinic and home of Dr. Joseph J. Eisenberg. This house also held his extensive collection of artifacts from the late 1800s through 1970 which today make up the exhibits of the museum.Schneider, Andy Hass.
