Albemarle Cator
Major-general (United Kingdom), Major General Albemarle Bertie Edward Cator, (12 April 1877 – 18 November 1932) was a senior British Army officer who served as General Officer Commanding London District (British Army), London District and Major-General commanding the Household Division, Major-General Commanding the Brigade of Guards. Military career Cator was Officer (armed forces), commissioned a second lieutenant in the Scots Guards on 9 June 1897, and was promoted to Lieutenant (British Army and Royal Marines), lieutenant on 17 May 1899. He served with the 1st battalion of his regiment in South Africa during the Second Boer War, and was present at the battles of Battle of Belmont (1899), Belmont, Battle of Modder River, Modder River, and Battle of Magersfontein, Magersfontein in 1899.
