Cathy DeBuono
Cathy DeBuono is an American actress and practicing psychotherapist. Biography DeBuono was born on March 20, 1970, in Yonkers, New York, and raised in Bronxville. In her teens and early 20s, DeBuono was an athlete, playing volleyball while attending University of Kentucky from 1988 to 1991. As a volleyball player, DeBuono received several awards and medals, including consecutive gold medals at the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1990 and 1991. When a knee injury ended her high level athletic career, DeBuono focused on her acting career. While at University of Kentucky, DeBuono performed in a stage play directed by alumni student Ashley Judd. She went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1994. Starting in 1997, DeBuono appeared in the last three seasons of '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'' as M'Pella, a dabo girl in Quark's bar. Yonkers () is a city in Westchester County, New York, United States. Developed along the Hudson River, it is the third most populous city in the state of New York, after New York City and Buffalo. Lola runs out the door, and what follows is a series of high-speed encounters and obstacles that threaten to keep her from her destination. ''Chicago Hope'' is an American medical drama television series, created by David E. Kelley. It originally aired on CBS from September 18, 1994, to May 4, 2000. The series is set in a fictional private charitable hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Overview The show starred Mandy Patinkin as Dr. Jeffrey Geiger, a hot-shot surgeon with emotional issues stemming from the psychiatric condition of his wife (played by Kim Greist), who drowned their infant son. The title character, Sammo Law (Sammo Hung), is a Chinese law officer and martial arts expert who comes to Los Angeles in search of a colleague and remains in the United States. The show was a surprise hit, making Hung the only East Asian headlining a primetime network series in the United States. At the time, Hung was not fluent in English and worried about the audience's ability to understand him. In many scenes, Hung does not speak at all, making ''Martial Law'' one of the few United States television series to feature little dialogue from the lead character.
