Catholic University of Croatia ( hr, Hrvatsko katoličko sveučilište; la, Universitas Studiorum Catholica Croatica) is a private university of the Catholic Church located in Zagreb, Croatia. History On October 12, 2004, the Croatian Bishops' Conference, on its 29th plenary session, held in Zadar, adopted a ''Decision on the Establishment of the Catholic University of Croatia''. The decision stipulated that the founder of the university was to be the Archdiocese of Zagreb and its sponsor the Croatian Bishops' Conference. On January 6, 2005, Archbishop Josip Bozanić established the ''Commission for the Establishment of the Catholic University of Croatia'', whose mission was to prepare the establishment of the University of Croatia. On January 7, 2005, Bozanić appointed five members to the commission. A seal is a device for making an impression in wax, clay, paper, or some other medium, including an embossment on paper, and is also the impression thus made. The Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) is a voluntary association of delegates from Catholic institutions of higher learning. History It was founded in 1899 by fifty-three delegates from Catholic colleges across the United States. There are 247 degree-granting Catholic postsecondary institutions in the US. Zenon Grocholewski (11 October 1939 – 17 July 2020) was a Polish prelate of the Catholic Church, who was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2001. Péter Erdő ( hu, Erdő Péter, ; born 25 June 1952) is a Hungarian Cardinal of the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church, who has been the Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest and Primate of Hungary since 2003.
