Catherine Rich (10 June 1932 – 18 January 2021) was a French actress. Life Rich was born in the 17th arrondissement of Paris in 1932. Her father Renaudin and her maternal grandfather were politicians. She married Claude Rich who was also an actor. The 1962 cast of '' The Burning Court'' included Rich who was making her debut on the screen. In 1972 she took a role in the TV miniseries ''Les Rois maudits''. In 1991 she was nominated for a Molière Award for her role in the play '' La Dame de chez Maxim''. Claude Rich (8 February 1929 – 20 July 2017) was a French stage and screen actor. He began his career in the theater before his film debut in 1955. Personal life He married actress Catherine Renaudin on 26 June 1959. They had two daughters, Delphine (an actress) and Nathalie (a painter), and an adopted son, Remy. ''The Burning Court'' (french: La chambre ardente) is a French-Italian-German film directed by Julien Duvivier, released in 1962. The script was written by Charles Spaak and Duvivier, from the 1937 novel of the same name by John Dickson Carr. The cast included Catherine Rich who was making her debut on the screen. Plot Historian Michel Boissard (Walter Giller), is invited with his wife Marie (Édith Scob), a descendant of Madame de Brinvilliers, the notorious poisoner, to the château of Mathias Desgrez (Frédéric Duvallès). The Molière Award recognises achievement in live French theatre and is the national theatre award of France.
