''Catch Me If You Can'' (stylized as ''Catch Me... If You Can'') is a 1989 American action film, action comedy film starring Matt Lattanzi, Loryn Locklin, Grant Heslov, Geoffrey Lewis (actor), Geoffrey Lewis and M. Emmet Walsh. The film was the List of directorial debuts, feature film directorial debut of writer and director Stephen Sommers, with a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream. Synopsis The movie follows the antics of high school students and their adventure in saving their school from being closed. Class president Melissa (Loryn Locklin) has started raising money through donations to keep the school open, but when the fundraising begins to slow down, Dylan (Matt Lattanzi) convinces Melissa that he can save the school. They take $3000 of the money that has already been raised to bet on an illegal car race that Dylan is convinced he will win. Stephen Sommers
Stephen Sommers (born March 20, 1962) is an American filmmaker, best known for big-budget action movies, such as ''The Mummy'' (1999), its sequel, ''The Mummy Returns'' (2001), ''Van Helsing'' (2004), and '' G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra'' (2009). He also directed '' The Adventures of Huck Finn'' (1993), Disney's live action version of ''Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book'' (1994) and the cult classic horror film ''Deep Rising'' (1998). Early life Stephen Sommers was born in Indianapolis, and grew up in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he attended St. Cloud Apollo High School. He is a 1980 graduate of Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and the University of Seville in Spain. Paul Haslinger (born 11 December 1962) is an Austrian musician and composer. He lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Life and career Early life Haslinger was born and raised in Linz, Austria. He attended high school at Kollegium Aloisianum, a Jesuit school near Linz.
