Cat Simmons
Cat Simmons is an English actress, known for her role as DC Kezia Walker in the long-running ITV drama ''The Bill'', and for starring in ''Family Affairs'' as Scarlett Anderson. She also played Sista Twista in ''Life and Lyrics''. She also made appearances in ''No Angels'' and ''Casualty''. The daughter of a singer and nurse, her mother is English and her father is Guyanese. Simmons trained with the Oldham Theatre Workshop and National Youth Music Theatre and studied at Pleckgate High School, Mathematics and Computing College. Simmons has worked in numerous stage shows. Blackburn () is an industrial town and the administrative centre of the Blackburn with Darwen borough in Lancashire, England. Langston Hughes
James Mercer Langston Hughes (February 1, 1901 – May 22, 1967) was an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist from Joplin, Missouri. One of the earliest innovators of the literary art form called jazz poetry, Hughes is best known as a leader of the Harlem Renaissance. He famously wrote about the period that "the Negro was in vogue", which was later paraphrased as "when Harlem was in vogue." Growing up in a series of Midwestern towns, Hughes became a prolific writer at an early age. He moved to New York City as a young man, where he made his career. ''Come from Away'' is a Canadian musical, with book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. It is based on the events in the Newfoundland town of Gander during the week following the September 11 attacks, when 38 planes, carrying approximately 7,000 passengers, were ordered to land unexpectedly at Gander International Airport. The characters in the musical are based on (and in most cases share the names of) actual Gander residents and stranded travellers they housed and fed. Omar Christopher Lye-Fook MBE (born 14 October 1968), known professionally as Omar, is an English singer, songwriter and actor. He grew up in Canterbury, Kent and learned his craft classically, playing the trumpet, piano and percussion.
