Alexander Caskey (born July 22, 1988) is a former American soccer player. Career College and amateur Caskey played college soccer at Davidson College for four seasons where he was a three-time All-Southern Conference first team selection and a two-time NSCAA All-South Region second team selection. He was twice selected to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association All-State first team. A two-year team captain, Caskey finished his Davidson career with 19 goals and 15 assists for 53 points and did not miss a single match, starting all 76. He was also named to the Soccer America and College Soccer News national Teams of the Week and was a Southern Conference Player of the month and of the week. Billy Caskey
Billy Caskey (born 10 December 1954 in Belfast) is a retired professional soccer midfielder from Northern Ireland. He played in the Irish Football League, Football League, North American Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. He also earned seven caps, scoring one goal, with the Northern Ireland national football team between 1978 and 1982. Club career Caskey began his career with Crusaders and East Belfast before moving to Glentoran in October 1974. Caskey played for Glentoran until 1978. He was named as the Northern Ireland Football Writers' Association Player of the Year for the 1976/77 season. In the summer of 1978, the team sent him on loan to the Tulsa Roughnecks of the North American Soccer League. When he returned to Glentoran in the fall, the team sent him and Victor Moreland to Derby County for £90,000. He played two seasons for Derby County, going on loan with Tulsa in 1979. Craig Douglas Caskey (born December 11, 1949) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. Caskey played for the Montreal Expos in . Career Caskey attended Lake Washington High School and the University of Puget Sound. He was drafted four times, first by the Houston Astros in the 1969 January Draft. He did not sign. In 1971, the San Francisco Giants selected Caskey in the 10th round of the draft. He again did not sign. In 1972, he was drafted twice, first in the January draft by the California Angels, then in the first round of the June Secondary draft by the Montreal Expos. He signed with Montreal and played for both the West Palm Beach Expos and the Jamestown Falcons in 1972. He began the 1973 season with the Peninsula Whips of the International League. He was called up to the major leagues in July, and made his debut on July 19. Montreal faced the Cincinnati Reds at Riverfront Stadium. Darren Mark Caskey (born 21 August 1974) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a midfielder who notably played in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur. He also played in the Football League for Watford, Reading, Notts County, Bristol City, Peterborough United and Rushden & Diamonds, in the United States with Virginia Beach Mariners and in non-league football with Hornchurch, Kettering Town, Halesowen Town, Ilkeston Town and Gateshead. Elizabeth Caskey
Elizabeth Gwyn Caskey (20 May 1910 – January 1994) was a Canadian-American classical scholar, professor, and archaeologist, known for her work in the excavations at Lerna and Kea, which are of importance to Greek prehistory. As an archaeologist she worked with her husband, Jack Caskey, on excavations where she supervised the trenches of every annual dig and their fortifications. She also wrote summaries of the excavations. After her marriage ended she excavated at Pylos. She was a Professor of Classics at Randolph-Macon College who became Professor Emeritus in 1981. Early life Elizabeth Caskey was born Clara Elizabeth Conningsby Gwyn on 20 May 1910 at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. John Langdon Caskey (1908–1981) was an American archaeologist and classical scholar. He directed the American School of Classical Studies in Athens from 1949 to 1959, and was head of the Classics department at the University of Cincinnati from 1959 to 1979. His career focused on excavations at the ancient settlements of Troy, Lerna, and Keos. Until their marriage ended, he worked with his spouse Elizabeth Caskey who went to excavate on her own after they parted.
