Casey McPherson
Casey McPherson (born September 15, 1978) is a singer and songwriter based in Austin, Texas where he lives with his two daughters. He is currently the frontman of the bands Alpha Rev and Flying Colors, as well as his own Casey McPherson. He has toured the world, filling music venues and stadiums in over 15 countries. He is a classically-trained pianist and guitarist. Casey is an outspoken voice, active member and fundraiser in the fields of rare genetic disease, mental health, and parenting. He is also Music Director at Riverbend in Austin. Personal life Casey grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas. He was home schooled by his mother, and spent much of his childhood outdoors exploring nature. Alpha Rev
Alpha Rev is an American alternative rock band from Austin, Texas, fronted by Casey McPherson (formerly of Endochine). McPherson remains the group's only consistent member, although historically the core members have also included Zak Loy on lead guitar, Brian Batch on violin and backing vocals, and Dave Wiley on cello. History Casey McPherson started Alpha Rev in 2005 after the breakup of his previous band Endochine. Alpha Rev released their debut album ''The Greatest Thing I've Ever Learned'' on March 1, 2007. After releasing "The Greatest Thing" locally, the band signed an agreement with Austin startup Flyer Records and recorded an album with Dwight Baker at Matchbox Studios. Steve Morse
Steve J. Morse (born July 28, 1954) is an American guitarist, best known as the founder of the Dixie Dregs and as the lead guitarist of Deep Purple from 1994 to 2022. Morse has also enjoyed a successful solo career and was briefly a member of the group Kansas in the mid-1980s. Most recently, Morse became a member of the supergroup Flying Colors. Biography Early life Steve Morse was born in Hamilton, Ohio. His family soon moved to Tennessee and then to Ypsilanti, Michigan, where Morse spent his childhood. Although familiar with piano and clarinet, Morse ultimately became a guitarist. Morse worked briefly with his older brother Dave in a band called the Plague until the family moved to Augusta, Georgia. ''Second Nature'' is the second studio album by the American supergroup Flying Colors, that was released in Europe on September 29, 2014, in the US on September 30, and in the UK on October 6. On August 19, ''Loudwire'' premiered the video for the album's first single "Mask Machine". Soon after, ''Classic Rock'' premiered the song for Europe. On September 22, the entire album began streaming on the ''Prog'' magazine website. Recording and concept Before the album release, drummer Mike Portnoy said it would benefit from a bigger "chemistry" between members: The band's experience with Peter Collins was overwhelmingly positive. Live In Europe (Flying Colors Album)
''Live in Europe'' is the second release from prog/rock supergroup, Flying Colors. It was recorded on 20 September 2012, during the band's first tour, at the 013 in Tilburg, Netherlands. It was the 12th show the band had ever played. Mascot Label Group released the album on Blu-ray, DVD, 3-LP vinyl, 2-CD, Mastered for iTunes, and MP3 digital download. The Blu-ray and DVD versions included stereo and 5.1 surround mixes, and a 45-minute documentary, First Flight, edited by Randy George. ''Live in Europe'' debuted at No. 1 on the French national charts. Three live videos were released by Mascot Label Group: "Odyssey", "The Storm", and "All Falls Down". Spock's Beard
Spock's Beard is an American progressive rock band formed in Los Angeles. The band was formed in 1992 by brothers Neal (lead vocals, keyboards) and Alan Morse (vocals, guitars), John Ballard (bass) and Nick D'Virgilio (drums). Ballard was replaced by Dave Meros before the release of their debut album, '' The Light'' (1995), and Ryo Okumoto (keyboards) joined soon after. Neal Morse left the band following the release of their sixth album, ''Snow'' (2002), and D'Virgilio took over as the band's frontman. In 2011, D'Virgilio also left and was replaced by Jimmy Keegan (drums) and Ted Leonard (lead vocals) from ''Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep'' (2013) onwards.
