Casey Robert Hughes is a fictional character on the soap opera ''As the World Turns''. He is the only child of Margo Montgomery and Tom Hughes. He was last played by Zach Roerig from January 18, 2005 to May 2, 2007. From January 29, 2008 to the series' last episode on September 17, 2010, newcomer Billy Magnussen played the role. Storylines Casey Robert Hughes, is the only son of Tom and Margo, born on Valentine's Day in 1991 and named after Casey Peretti, Margo's late stepfather, to whom she was very close and Tom's father Bob Hughes. Casey was always a quiet, well-behaved boy who had a good relationship with his parents, and hated it whenever they fought. William Gregory Magnussen (born April 20, 1985) is an American actor. Lucy Montgomery is a fictional character in the daytime soap opera ''As the World Turns''. Casting The character has been played by five actresses. The role was originated in 1991 by an unknown baby. Amanda Seyfried portrayed Lucy in 1999 and left two years later due to difficulties between her and the creators. Then Peyton List stepped into the role almost a year later on December 14, 2001. Laurence Caso is an American television producer. Career Caso was the executive producer of CBS Daytime's ''As the World Turns'' from 1988–1995. During the 1988 Writers Guild of America strike, he became the show's head writer. He won the Editor's Award at the 9th Annual Soap Opera Digest Awards. In 1995, CBS was widely believed to have engineered the infamous producers musical chairs. With the help of Procter and Gamble Productions, '' Another Worlds EP, John Valente, went to ATWT; GL's EP, Jill Farren Phelps, to AW and Michael Laibson took over at GL, leaving ATWT's EP, Laurence Caso the odd man out. Douglas Marland (born Marland Messner; May 5, 1934 – March 6, 1993) was an American writer, known for his work as the head writer of several soap operas. Career Marland began his career as an actor, appearing on the Irna Phillips series ''The Brighter Day'' and ''As the World Turns''.
