Casey Gillaspie
Casey Harold Gillaspie (born January 25, 1993) is an American professional baseball first baseman who is a free agent. He played college baseball at Wichita State. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, and traded to the Chicago White Sox in 2017. Career Amateur Gillaspie attended Millard North High School in Omaha, Nebraska. As a senior, he was the Nebraska Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. As a freshman at Wichita State University in 2012, he started 57 of 59 games at either first base or designated hitter. He finished the year hitting .274 with eight home runs. After the 2012 season, Gillaspie played collegiate summer baseball in the Northwoods League, for the Eau Claire Express, where he broke the team single season HR record, with 12. The Wichita State Shockers baseball team represents Wichita State University in the sport of baseball. The Falmouth Commodores are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Commodores play their home games at Arnie Allen Diamond at Guv Fuller Field in Falmouth. Constellation Energy League
The Constellation Energy League was an independent baseball league that operated in Texas during 2020 because of COVID-19 restrictions limiting travel, and as a way to create opportunities for minor league players. History The league consisted of four teams, each managed by a former Major League Baseball (MLB) player: The teams were made up of former MLB players as well as other minor league and independent professional players. Each team was scheduled to play 28 games, including seven-inning doubleheaders every weekend. The league's season was planned to begin on July 3, but was pushed back to July 10 due to a spike in COVID-19 cases. The Kansas City Monarchs are a professional baseball team based in Kansas City, Kansas. Charlotte Knights
The Charlotte Knights are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. They are located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and play their home games at Truist Field, which opened in 2014 and is located in Uptown Charlotte. Daniel Lee Jennings (born April 17, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Miami Marlins, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Milwaukee Brewers, and Washington Nationals. The Durham Bulls are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. They are located in Durham, North Carolina, and play their home games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, which opened in 1995. Established as the Durham Tobacconists in the North Carolina League in 1902, the team subsequently disbanded and restarted numerous times. The Montgomery Biscuits are a Minor League Baseball team based in Montgomery, Alabama. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and play in the Southern League. The team was founded in Orlando, Florida, in 1973 as the Orlando Twins, an affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. After remaining in the Minnesota minor league organization for 20 seasons, the team became an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs for four seasons and then the Seattle Mariners for one. The Charlotte Stone Crabs were a Minor League Baseball team located in Port Charlotte, Florida, from 2009 to 2020. They competed in the Florida State League (FSL) as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays Major League Baseball (MLB) team. They played their home games at Charlotte Sports Park and were named for the Florida stone crab, which is indigenous to the Charlotte County region. The Stone Crabs arrived in Port Charlotte in 2009 after the Vero Beach Devil Rays were purchased by Ripken Baseball and relocated from Vero Beach, Florida. They played 11 seasons in Port Charlotte.
