Casey Fields
Casey Fields is a $30 million, 70 hectare multi-sports complex in the City of Casey at Cranbourne East a southeastern suburb of Melbourne. The complex is home to Australian rules football, cricket, netball, soccer, tennis, cycling, golf, and rugby football. A prominent arena within the complex is the VFL Oval, an Australian rules football oval which serves as the home of the Casey Demons in the Victorian Football League. The Australian Football League's Melbourne Football Club has a training base and plays AFL Women's games at the complex. The Casey-South Melbourne Cricket Club in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition is also based at Casey Fields. Australian Football League Reserves Affiliations
The Australian Football League stages the highest-level senior Australian rules football competition in the country. However, there has not been a league-wide Reserves competition since 1987, when the then-Victorian Football League expanded interstate to become the modern Australian Football League, with the AFL Reserves competition being shut down at the end of the 1999 season. Yarra Park
Yarra Park (35.469 hectares) is part of the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Precinct, the premier sporting precinct of Victoria, Australia. Located in Yarra Park is the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and numerous sporting fields and ovals, including the associated sporting complexes of Melbourne and Olympic Parks. The park and sporting facilities are located in the inner-suburb of East Melbourne. The Melbourne Rectangular Stadium, known as AAMI Park for sponsorship reasons, is an outdoor sports stadium on the site of Edwin Flack Field in the Sports and Entertainment Precinct in the Melbourne central business district. Box Hill Hawks Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the Victorian Football League. It has an alliance with the Hawthorn Football Club, which plays in the Australian Football League. 2006 VFL Season
The 2006 Victorian Football League (VFL) is a semi-professional Australian Rules Football competition featuring 12 teams from Victoria and one team from Tasmania. It was the 125th season of the Australian rules football competition. League affiliations Prior to the 2006 season, the VFL-AFL reserves affiliation which had existed for the previous three seasons between North Melbourne and Port Melbourne was terminated. In its place, North Melbourne arranged to be affiliated with both North Ballarat and Tasmania, with half of its reserves players allocated to each team. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. Victorian Premier Cricket is a club cricket competition in the state of Victoria administered by Cricket Victoria. Each club fields four teams (firsts through to fourths) of adult players and usually play on weekends and public holidays.
