Cascade Christian High School
Cascade Christian High School is a private Christian high school in Medford, Oregon, United States. History Cascade Christian High School was founded in 1977 by Grace Christian Schools, a ministry of the First Baptist Church, and was housed at the historic Jacksonville School building for over ten years. The school's first graduating class was in 1981, but GCS turned the high school over to a group of dedicated parents to operate it separately. In 2002 school leaders asked that Grace Christian administrators take over the administration. After twenty years as afacility just south of the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport for the 2007–08 school year. Athletics Cascade Christian's high school athletic program began around the time the school did in 1977. The mascot is known as the "Challengers" and the team colors are purple and gold. Medford, Oregon
Medford is a city in and the county seat of Jackson County, Oregon, in the United States. As of the 2020 United States Census on April 1, 2020, the city had a total population of 85,824 and a metropolitan area population of 223,259, making the Medford MSA the fourth largest metro area in Oregon. The city was named in 1883 by David Loring, civil engineer and right-of-way agent for the Oregon and California Railroad, after Medford, Massachusetts, which was near Loring's hometown of Concord, Massachusetts. Medford is near the middle ford of Bear Creek. History In 1883, a group of railroad surveyors headed by S. L. Dolson and David Loring arrived in Rock Point, near present-day Gold Hill. They were charged with finding the best route through the Rogue Valley for the Oregon and California Railroad.
