Casaluna
The Casaluna is a small river in the department of Haute-Corse, Corsica, France. It is a tributary of the Golo. Course The Casaluna is long. It crosses the communes of Aiti, Cambia, Carticasi, Castineta, Érone, Gavignano, Lano, Morosaglia, Saliceto and San-Lorenzo. Aiti
Aiti (in Corsican ''Àiti'', pronounced aː.i.di is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Aïtinchi''. Geography Aiti is some 15 km north of Corte and about 25 km inland from the east coast of Corsica. The Highway N193 from Corte goes north passing near the eastern border of the commune however the commune can only be accessed from this side by the D39 from Francardo a tortuous and circuitous road. The commune can also be accessed from the eastern side from San-Lorenzo on the Highway D39 which has a small connecting road across a bridge to the D39 road which enters the commune from the south and is another tortuous and circuitous route to the village of Aiti. Other than some short mountain access roads there are no other roads in the commune. Golo (river)
The Golo (; ) is the longest river on the island of Corsica, France, at Course The Golo is long. Ponte Leccia (; or Ponte-Leccia) is a French village, part of the municipality (''commune'') of Morosaglia, in the department of Haute-Corse, Corsica. Its name in Corsican language is U Ponte à a Leccia. Geography Situated at the confluence between Asco and Golo rivers, it lies few km in the east of Morosaglia and is far from Corte, 46 from Bastia, 60 from Calvi and 100 from Ajaccio. Transport Ponte Leccia has a railway station on the CFC line Ajaccio-Bastia, on the junction point with the line to Calvi. It is crossed by the national roads N193 and N197. Morosaglia
Morosaglia (; ; co, Merusaglia, link=no, ) is a commune in the Haute-Corse department, on the island of Corsica, France. Since 2015, it is the seat of the canton of Golo-Morosaglia. History Morosaglia is the native commune of Pasquale Paoli (1725-1807). The house in which he was born is a museum. This commune also is the historical seat of the Corsican Republic. Paoli had his chambers in the Franciscan monastery and the Corsican parliament met there. Geography Morosaglia is to the northeast of Corte in Castagniccia. The commune extends to the east to the largest mountain of Castagniccia, mounting to to the peak of San Paolu, and stretches to the west for beyond the river Golo.
