Casa Grande High School
Casa Grande High School is a public high school in Petaluma, California. Casa Grande is one of six high schools in the Petaluma City Schools District. History At the end of the 1960s, prior to the construction of Casa Grande High, the Petaluma City Schools District suffered from an exploding student population without the resources to keep up. Superintendent Lesly H. Meyer noted that "...in 1959, he school districthad 950 senior high school students. On September 22 969 there will be 2,206 enrolled." At the time, the district was already short 3,147 square feet of state mandated building space for students. The district's immediate solution was the use of portable classrooms. The school district couldn't begin planning for the construction of a new high school until October 14, 1969, when Petaluma voters would vote on a $12.7 million bond and school aid authorization package. Anthony Wayne Bender (born February 3, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). The 2020 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft took place on June 10 and 11, 2020. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to Major League Baseball (MLB) teams. The draft order was set based on the reverse order of the 2019 MLB season standings. In addition, compensation picks were distributed for players who did not sign from the 2019 MLB draft and for teams who lost qualifying free agents. On March 26, 2020, MLB and the MLBPA reached a deal that included the option to shorten the draft to five rounds, and also shorten the 2021 draft to 20 rounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
