Badhoevedorp
Badhoevedorp is a town in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer in the province of North Holland, Netherlands. It lies next to the Ringvaart around Haarlemmermeer, the canal around the former Lake Haarlem, at the side of the polder bordering Amsterdam and Amstelveen. Badhoevedorp has a population of around 11,370. Notable residents include Björn Ottenheim of the band zZz, former Dutch national team footballer Marco van Basten, Jack van Gelder, Tonny Eyk and Toon van Driel. The Rijksweg 9 passes next to the town, from 8 August 1967 to 10 April 2017, the motorway passed through the town, however it was diverted, with the original section being closed and demolished to make place for new development in the area. ''Elephants Dream'' (code-named Project Orange during production and originally titled ''Machina'') is a 2006 Dutch Computer animation, computer animated science fiction fantasy Experimental film, experimental short film produced by Blender Foundation using, almost exclusively, free and open-source software. The film is English-language and includes subtitles in over 30 languages. Plot An old man, Proog (voiced by Tygo Gernandt), guides the young Emo (voiced by Cas Jansen) through a giant surreal machine, in which the rooms have no clear transition to each other. After Proog saves Emo from flying plugs in a room consisting of a gigantic telephone switchboard, they run through a dark room filled with electrical cables and flee from a flock of bird-like robots. In the next room, Emo is tempted to answer a ringing phone, but Proog stops him and reveals a trap. ''Goede tijden, slechte tijden'' (, ), also known as ''GTST'' or simply ''Goede tijden'', is the longest-running Dutch soap opera, which began on 1 October 1990 on RTL4. The programme was the first daily (every workday) soap in the Netherlands and Europe. The soap is produced by Joop van den Ende and to date over 6,300 episodes have been broadcast. It was inspired by the Australian soap ''The Restless Years'', although it started following its own course during the third season. GTST is broadcast Monday to Friday at 20:00. ''Too Fat Too Furious'' ( nl, Vet hard) is a 2005 Dutch action comedy film. It is a remake of the Danish film '' Old Men in New Cars'' and received a Golden Film for 100,000 visitors. Plot Bennie, a clumsy criminal who's touchy about his weight, teams up with his adoptive father's biological (serial killer) son, his employees who in his absence turned his snack-bar into a quiche bakery, a suicidal manic-depressive woman and a Yugoslavian who unintentionally keeps blowing things up. They need to get 300.000 Euros to get Bennie's father a new liver. The film is based on the 1963 edition of the Elfstedentocht, a long-distance ice skating tour in the Netherlands.
