Carson Grove
Carson Grove is a neighbourhood in the east end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The neighbourhood spans the former Ottawa-Gloucester boundary, which still forms the boundary between Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward and Beacon Hill-Cyrville Ward. The neighbourhood was built in the early 1970s by the Campeau Corporation, and was named for John Carson, an early settler in the region. The neighbourhood was expanded in the mid-1990s with the building of Carson Village, which was developed by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. The neighbourhood is roughly bounded on the west by the Aviation Parkway, on the North by Collège La Cité, on the South by Ogilvie Road and on the east by Blair Road. Some sources give Montreal Road as the northern boundary and Bathgate Road as the eastern border. Beacon Hill-Cyrville Ward is a city ward in Ottawa, Ontario. Located in the city's east end, the ward is bordered to the west by Blair Road from the Ottawa River to Ogilvie Road and St. Laurent Boulevard south of it, the south by the Via Rail train line and Innes Ward, to the east by Green's Creek and Regional Road 174 and to the north by the Ottawa River. Forbes, Ottawa
Forbes is a neighbourhood in Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward in the east end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is defined by the city as being bounded on the North by Montreal Road, on the east by the Aviation Parkway, on the west and south by the former municipal boundary of the city, and on the southwest by McArthur Avenue. However, the area west of St. Laurent Boulevard is part of the Overbrook Community Association, and most maps show Forbes as being east of St. Laurent. Cyrville
Cyrville (also referred to as Cummings) is a neighbourhood in Beacon Hill-Cyrville Ward in the east-end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The area is located within the former City of Gloucester, and is roughly bounded on the north, west and south by the former Gloucester City limit, and on the east by the Aviation Parkway and Highway 417. Once a francophone farming village, the area now a mix of residential and industrial land, being home to the Cyrville Industrial Area. Carson Meadows is a neighbourhood in Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward in the east end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is roughly located south of Montreal Road and north of Collège La Cité, west of the National Research Council National Science Library site, and generally east of Carsons Road. This area has an approximate population of 3300 (2016 Census). The neighbourhood has a plurality Francophone population. The five dissemination areas that cover most of the area together are 40% Francophone and 39% Anglophone. Creole languages are the third largest linguistic group at 6%. The area was once known as Rockville, with a post office opening up in 1871. Montreal Road (Ottawa)
Montreal Road (French: ''Chemin de Montréal''), also known as Ottawa Road #34, is a major east-west Ottawa road that links Lowertown to Vanier and the farther eastern neighbourhoods of Ottawa. Until downloading in 1998, it was part of the provincially managed Highway 17B. Since the early 20th century, Montreal Road has been the cultural core of Vanier. It is one of a string of variously named roads that form an uninterrupted route between Parliament Hill and the City of Montreal, originally part of Ontario Highway 17, later bypassed by the freeway now known as Ottawa Road 174. In French, it is known as ''Chemin de Montréal'' for most of its distance. Blair Road
Blair Road (Ottawa Road #27) is a road in the eastern part of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It begins just south of the Rockcliffe Parkway, but does not connect to the parkway, except for a small bike-path connection to the Ottawa River Pathway - one of the city's main bike trails that runs along the Ottawa River. Starting out quite minor, the northernmost part of the road is a two-lane collector road (north of Montreal Road) or minor arterial road (south of Montreal Road), running past residential areas and to the east of the massive National Research Council and Canadian Security Intelligence Service campuses.
