''Carrossel'' ( en, Carousel) is a Brazilian children's telenovela created by Íris Abravanel and written by Abel Santa Cruz. The TV show originally aired on SBT from 21 May 2012 to 26 July 2013. It is a Brazilian remake of the Mexican telenovela '' Carrusel'' (which in turn had been inspired by the Argentinean telenovela ''Jacinta Pichimahuida, la Maestra que no se Olvida''). The Telenovela was particularly successful with children and led to several spin-offs including a cartoon series and television sitcom. Films based on the novela were released, on 23 July 2015, ''Carrossel: O Filme'', and a sequel called ''Carrossel 2: O Sumiço de Maria Joaquina'', on 7 July 2016. Guilherme Seta de Morais Souza (born December 17, 2002) is a Brazilian actor. He became known from childhood when he played Davi in the remake of the Brazilian telenovela Carrossel, SBT (2012). ''Chiquititas'', also known as ''Chiquititas Remake'', is a 2013–2015 Brazilian soap opera written by Íris Abravanel, originally aired on SBT. ''Carrusel'' () is a Mexican children's telenovela produced by Valentín Pimstein for Televisa in 1989. It's based on the Argentinean character Jacinta Pichimahuida (first televised in 1966), and produced by and broadcast on Televisa in 1989. It covers daily life in a Mexican elementary school and the children's relationships with a charismatic teacher named Ximena.
