''Carried Away'' is a 2009 film written and directed by Tom Huckabee, starring Gabriel Horn, Juli Erickson, Mark Walters, Bryan Massey, and Tyler Corie. The film follows Ed Franklin (Horn) as he liberates his grandmother (Erickson) from a nursing home and takes her from Fort Worth, Texas across country on their way to Hollywood. Gabriel Horn (filmmaker)
Gabriel Horn (born 15 March 1978) is an American actor and filmmaker. He has appeared in and produced or consulted on numerous television shows, documentaries, and independent films, including Tom Huckabee's '' Carried Away'' and the 2023 Christina Ricci/Steven Ogg science fiction film The Dresden Sun. Gabriel Horn is co-founder of Big Bear Film Summit, which, in the age of COVID-19, was designated one of the best 2020 online fests by FilmFreeway. Dockweiler State Beach
Dockweiler State Beach is a beach in Los Angeles, California, with of shoreline and a hang gliding practice and training area. Although a unit of the California state park system, it is managed by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors. Wrap, as used in the phrase "That's a wrap" has been used by directors since the early days of the film industry to signal the end of filming. Since the 1920s, filmmakers have been using this phrase when principal photography is concluded and the film is ready to go into post-production. At that point, it is traditional to hold a wrap party for the cast and crew of the film. This marks the end of the actors' collaboration with each other, the director, producer, and crew on the film (except for possible dubbing or pick-ups). In filmmaking, dailies are the raw, unedited footage shot during the making of a motion picture. The term comes from when movies were all shot on film because usually at the end of each day, the footage was developed, synced to sound, and printed on film in a batch (and later telecined onto videotape or disk) for viewing the next day by the director, selected actors, and film crew members. After the advent of digital filmmaking, "dailies" were available instantly after the take and the review process was no longer tied to the overnight processing of film and became more asynchronous.
