Carolina Bescansa
Carolina Bescansa is a Spanish politician and political scientist who co-founded the political party Podemos. She was a representative for Madrid in the Spanish Congress of Deputies from 2016 to 2019. Academic work Bescansa is from Santiago de Compostela. She studied Sociology and Political Science in Grenada and Madrid, focusing specifically on political sociology and the study of constitutional law. After graduating in 1994, she did a specialist degree in constitutional law at the Centre for Political and Constitutional Studies. She then became a doctoral student at the Complutense University of Madrid, and in the 1999–2000 school year she participated in an Education Abroad Program at the University of California, San Diego. The Congress of Deputies ( es, link=no, Congreso de los Diputados, italic=unset) is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. Equo
Greens Equo (and formerly Q or eQuo) is a Spanish political party founded on 4 June 2011, when 35 Spanish green parties agreed to merge into Equo. It began as a foundation on 24 September 2010 with the goal of becoming "the seed and source of debate about political ecology and social equity, originating a sociopolitical movement". The first election it contested was the 2011 Spanish general election, obtaining 216,748 votes (0.9%), making it the 9th most supported party. The party was fifth in Madrid, achieving representation thanks to the Valencian coalition Compromís-Q, in which Equo participated. Francisco Javier "Patxi" López Álvarez (; born 4 October 1959) is a Spanish politician serving as Member of the Congress of Deputies and chair of the Constitutional Committee.
