Carol Callan
Carol Callan (''nee'' Leimer) is an American basketball executive. She is the first female President of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Americas and director of the United States women's national basketball team. Under her guidance, she has helped lead the United States to six consecutive Olympic gold medals from 1996 until 2012 and four World Championships. In 2020, Callan was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame as a contributor. Early life and education Callan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Physical Education from William Woods University, where she graduated from in 1975. She played one season with the Owls basketball team in 1974, recording an average of 16.75 points per game and totaling 201 points. William Woods University
William Woods University is a private university in Fulton, Missouri. Founded in 1870, the university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Expanding its mission to address the need for graduate and adult-oriented programs, the institution became known as William Woods University in 1993. The USA Basketball Women's National Team, commonly known as the United States women's national basketball team, is governed by USA Basketball and competes in FIBA Americas. Women's Basketball Hall Of Fame
The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame honors those who have contributed to the sport of women's basketball. The Hall of Fame opened in 1999 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.
