''Caro Gorbaciov'' (internationally released as ''Dear Gorbachev'') is a 1988 Italian drama film directed by Carlo Lizzani. Carlo Lizzani
Carlo Lizzani (3 April 1922 – 5 October 2013) was an Italian film director, screenwriter and critic. Biography Born in Rome, before World War II Lizzani worked as a scenarist on such films as Roberto Rossellini's ''Germany Year Zero'', Alberto Lattuada's '' The Mill on the Po'' (both 1948) and Giuseppe De Santis' ''Bitter Rice'' (1949), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Story. After directing documentaries, he debuted as a feature director with the admired World War II drama ''Achtung! Banditi!'' (1951). Respected for his awarded drama '' Chronicle of Poor Lovers'' (1954), he has proven a solid director of genre films, notably crime films such as '' The Violent Four'' (1968) and '' Crazy Joe'' (1974) or crime-comedy ''Roma Bene'' (1971). Luis Enriquez Bacalov
Luis Enríquez Bacalov (30 August 1933 – 15 November 2017) was an Argentine-born film composer. He learned music from Enrique Barenboim, father of Daniel Barenboim the conductor of the Berlin, and Chicago orchestras, and also Berta Sujovolsky. Bringing his talent into society he ventured into music for the cinema, and composed scores for Spaghetti Western films. In the early 1970s, he collaborated with Italian progressive rock bands. Bacalov was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Original Score, winning it in 1996 for ''Il Postino''. Bacalov composed significant works for chorus and orchestra. Before his death, he was the artistic director of the ''Orchestra della Magna Grecia'' in Taranto, Italy. Anna Mikhailovna Larina (russian: А́нна Миха́йловна Ла́рина; 27 January 1914 – 24 February 1996) was the third wife of the Bolshevik leader Nikolai Bukharin and spent many years trying to rehabilitate her husband after he was executed in 1938. She was the author of a memoir entitled ''This I Cannot Forget''. Biography Anna Larina was born in 1914. She was adopted by Yuri Larin, a Soviet economist and politician, so she grew up among professional revolutionaries who were very high up in the Soviet Union. As a young girl, she came to know Bukharin, who was 26 years her senior, and she constantly wrote girlish love notes to him. She married Bukharin in 1934 and they had a son, Yuri, in 1936. In 1937, when her son was less than one year old, she was separated from him for almost 20 years when the NKVD arrested her.
