Carnival Cruise Line is an international cruise line with headquarters in Doral, Florida. The company is a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. Its logo is a funnel (ship), funnel shaped like a whale's tail, with a red, white, and blue color scheme. This trademark funnel design is built onto the line's ships. Carnival is ranked first on the list of largest cruise lines based on passengers carried annually. , Carnival Cruise Line operates a fleet of 24 ships. ''Carnival Fantasy'' (formerly ''Fantasy'') was a cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. She was the first ship of her namesake class, which was the largest by number of ships, before the scrapping of the Fantasy, Inspiration, Imagination, and the selling of the Fascination in 2020. Built by Kværner Masa-Yards at its Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland, she was floated out on December 9, 1988, completed on January 27, 1990 and formally named on March 1, 1990, as ''Fantasy'' by Tellervo Koivisto, wife of the then President of Finland, Mauno Koivisto. During 2007, in common with all of her ''Fantasy''-class sisters, she had the prefix "''Carnival''" added to her name. The ''Fantasy'' class is a cruise ship class operated by Carnival Cruise Lines. The first vessel of the class, ''Carnival Fantasy'', entered service in 1990. MS Grand Celebration
The ''Celebration'' (also known as ''Grand Celebration'') was a cruise ship originally built for Carnival Cruise Line. She was the last out of three ships to be built for Carnival's Holiday Class of cruise ships. She last sailed for Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line between 2015 and 2020. The ''Grand Celebration'' has since been retired for scrap in 2020 along with her remaining sister ship the ''Magellan'' (formerly ''Holiday'') and other ships that were also retired due the economic losses from cruise operations being suspended worldwide following the COVID-19 pandemic. MS ''Tropicale'' (also known as ''Costa Tropicale,'' ''Pacific Star, Ocean Dream'') was a cruise ship that entered service in 1982, and was one of the pioneering cruise ships in the modernization of the cruise industry. RMS ''Transvaal Castle'' was a British ocean liner built by John Brown & Company at Clydebank for the Union-Castle Line for their mail service between Southampton and Durban. In 1966 she was sold to the South Africa-based Safmarine and renamed ''S.A. Vaal'' for further service on the same route.
