The rivalry between the Carlton and Essendon football clubs is one of the most celebrated rivalries in the Australian Football League. Victoria Park is a stadium, sports venue in Abbotsford, Victoria, Abbotsford, a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. Kade Simpson (born 5 May 1984) is a former Australian rules footballer who played his entire career with the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played 342 games across 18 seasons from 2003 to 2020. He holds the VFL/AFL record for playing in the most losses of any player, with 215. Brendan Fevola
Brendan Fevola (born 20 January 1981) is a former professional Australian rules footballer. He played with the Carlton and Brisbane Lions football clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Fevola is regarded as one of the most effective full-forwards to have played AFL in the 2000s, having won the Coleman Medal for league leading goalkicker in 2006 and 2009 (kicking 84 and 86 goals, respectively) as well as All-Australian selection as a forward three times since 2006. Bryce Gibbs (Australian Rules Footballer)
Bryce Gibbs (born 15 March 1989) is a retired professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club and the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Pre-AFL Gibbs was an exceptional youth talent, which led to much speculation about his ultimate AFL drafting. In 2004 he won Glenelg's Under 17s best and fairest award, despite spending part of the season playing SANFL reserve grade. Dean Wallis
Dean Wallis (born 27 August 1969) is a former Australian rules footballer for the Essendon Football Club of the AFL. Originally from Nhill, due to his physical style of play Wallis became known as one of the AFL's toughest players. He won premierships with the club in 1993 and 2000, and played 127 VFL/AFL games in his 14 seasons with the Bombers. After retiring as a player, he became an assistant coach. In 2002 and 2003, Wallis was an assistant coach to Grant Thomas at St.Kilda before again returning to Windy Hill to take up an assistant coaching role. He left the club after Matthew Knights was appointed as senior coach in 2008, and he moved to the Fremantle Football Club as an assistant coach. Fraser Brown (Australian Rules Football)
Fraser Brown (born 18 August 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. Originally from Lilydale, Victoria and known for his fierce style of play, Brown's highest achievements in football were playing in the 1995 premiership and winning the 1998 Carlton best and fairest. Brown will long be remembered for his gripping tackle on Dean Wallis in the 1999 Preliminary Final against Essendon. With Carlton desperately hanging on a one-point lead, and with just seconds remaining, Brown laid a bear hug on Wallis as he tried to baulk him and run into an open goal from 50 metres out. Anthony Koutoufides (born 18 January 1973), also known by his nickname of Kouta, is a retired Australian rules footballer with the Carlton Football Club. Stephen Scott Kernahan (born 1 September 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) and for the Glenelg Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).
