Sven Magnus Øen Carlsen (born 30 November 1990) is a Norwegian chess grandmaster who is the reigning five-time World Chess Champion. He is also a three-time World Rapid Chess Champion and five-time World Blitz Chess Champion. Carlsen has held the position in the FIDE world chess rankings since 1 July 2011 and trails only Garry Kasparov in time spent as the highest-rated player in the world. Soren Emil Carlsen (October 19, 1853 – January 2, 1932, New York City, U.S.) was an American Impressionist painter who emigrated to the United States from Denmark. He became known for his still lifes. Later in his career, Carlsen expanded his range of subjects to include landscapes and seascapes as well. During his long career, he won many of the most important honors in American art and was elected to membership in the National Academy of Design. Kenneth Carlsen (born 17 April 1973) is a Danish former professional tennis player, who was active between 1992 and 2007. Carlsen played left-handed with a one-handed backhand. His greatest asset was his powerful serve, and his game was therefore best suited to fast surfaces (grass and hardcourt). For most of his long career, Carlsen was Denmark's best tennis player, and consistently among the few Danish players playing at the highest international level. He was awarded as best Danish "Tennis Player of the Year" seven times by the Danish Tennis Federation (first time in 1991, last time in 2005). Franziska Antoinette Hilleborg Carlsen (13 November 1817 – 28 February 1876) was a Danish writer who was particularly interested in local history and folklore. She was also a keen collector of items of historical interest. With the publication of her pioneering ''Noget om og fra Rønnebæk Sogn med Rønnebæksholm'' (Something about and from the parish of Rønnebæk and Ronnebæakshlom Manor) in 1861, she became one of the few women of her times to publish works documenting local folklore.
