Carlos Zambrano (footballer)
Carlos Augusto Zambrano Ochandarte (born 10 July 1989) is a Peruvian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Peruvian Primera División club Alianza Lima and the Peru national football team. He is known for his strong tackling and defensive capabilities. Zambrano's current club is Alianza Lima, which he joined in January 2023. Club career Schalke 04 Born in Callao, Peru, Zambrano started his football career at AD Cantolao since he was eleven. Zambrano joined Bundesliga club Schalke 04 at the age of 16 after playing in the U-17 World Cup in 2005, with Peru as hosts. He previously went on a trial with the club and make an impression that Schalke 04 signed him. Lucimar Ferreira da Silva (born 8 May 1978), commonly known as Lúcio, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. A tall and physically strong defender who excelled in the air, Lúcio was known for his long, surging, galloping runs on the ball, which earned him the nickname ''O Cavalo'' ("The Horse"). Lúcio began his professional career in 1998 with Internacional. The 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship, the eleventh edition of the tournament, was held in the cities of Lima, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Piura and Iquitos in Peru between 16 September and 2 October 2005. Club Alianza Lima, popularly known as Alianza Lima or simply Alianza, is a Peruvian professional sports club based in La Victoria District of Lima, Peru.
