Carlos Jose Rodiles (born 3 May 1975) is a Spanish professional golfer who currently plays on the European Tour. Early life Rodiles was born in Málaga, Spain. Nowadays he lives in Marbella, Spain. College career He attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, United States, where he played for coach Buddy Alexander's Florida Gators men's golf team in National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) competition in 1996 and 1997. Volvo Masters Andalucia
The Volvo Masters was the concluding official money event of the European Tour season until 2009, when it was replaced by the Dubai World Championship. The event was founded in 1988 and held at Valderrama Golf Club in Andalusia, Spain, except for a five-year period between 1997 and 2001 when Montecastillo Golf Club played host to the tournament. The tournament reverted to its original name of "Volvo Masters" in 2005, having been known as the "Volvo Masters Andalucia" between 2000 and 2003 for sponsorship reasons. The prize money for the inaugural event was £351,690, and by 2008, this had increased to over €4 million, making it one of the richest events on the tour. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. It is organised by the R&A. The Open is one of the four men's major golf tournaments, the others being the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open. Since the PGA Championship moved to May in 2019, the Open has been chronologically the fourth and final major tournament of the year. It is held in mid-July. Fredrik Andersson Hed (20 January 1972 – 24 October 2021) was a Swedish professional golfer and broadcaster. He won the 2010 BMW Italian Open. Early life Andersson Hed was born in Halmstad on 20 January 1972. He began playing golf when he was ten years old and turned professional in 1992. Career Andersson Hed won his first title on the Challenge Tour only a year after turning pro at the inaugural Danish PGA Championship. He later won the Challenge de France held in Le Touquet in 2003. However, he found success hard to come by on the main European Tour, where he had to return to qualifying school on numerous occasions. Andersson Hed won his first European Tour title at the 2010 BMW Italian Open at Royal Park, outside Turin, on his 245th attempt. David Higgins (golfer)
David William Higgins (born 1 December 1972) is an Irish professional golfer. Higgins was born in Cork. He is the son of European Seniors Tour golfer Liam Higgins. He was the country's leading amateur by the time he reached 21. Following match play victories over Pádraig Harrington in the finals of the South of Ireland and the Irish Amateur Close championships he decided to turn professional in 1994. Higgins earned £67,000 in his rookie season on the European Tour in 1996 to finish just inside the top 100 on the Order of Merit. In 1997 he broke his left wrist and right elbow in a horse riding accident. On his return, he failed to immediately rediscover his form and dropped down to the second tier Challenge Tour in 1999.
