Carlos Peña (singer)
Carlos Enrique Peña Aldana (born January 9, 1988) is a Guatemalan singer and songwriter. He is the winner of the second season of '' Latin American Idol''. Biography Son of Hugo Peña and Nilsa Aldana de Peña. When he was young, he participated in tennis tournaments in Guatemala City, and joined the CSD Municipal's lower divisions football team. He was introduced to singing through his older brother Hugo (who lives in the USA), who took him to karaoke clubs in Los Angeles. He participated in the first season of Latin American Idol (2006), but did not pass the theater round. During the second season of Latin American Idol, he competed in the final round of Latin American Idol against Ricardo Caballero from Mexico, singing 3 songs. ''Latin American Idol'' was the Hispanic American edition of the popular British franchise of '' Idols'', well known for its American version ''American Idol''. The show aimed to discover the pop idol of the Hispanic American region. The show was filmed in Buenos Aires and was transmitted to over 23 nations in the region via the Sony Entertainment Television network. Premise ''Latin American Idol'' was filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina and aired throughout Latin America with the exception of Brazil, which has its own version called ''Ídolos Brazil'', premiered in 2006. Alejandro Sanz
Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, better known as Alejandro Sanz (; born 18 December 1968), is a Spanish musician, singer and composer. Sanz has won 22 Latin Grammy Awards and four Grammy Awards. He has received the Latin Grammy for Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year, Album of the Year three times. Rosana Arbelo (; full name Rosana Arbelo Gopar; born October 24, 1963), is a Spanish singer and composer. In the Spanish-speaking world, she is known professionally as simply Rosana. She was born on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, where she was raised. She was the youngest of a family of eight children. Arbelo was given her first guitar at the age of five years old and wrote her first song aged eight. She began composing music after moving to Madrid in the early 1980s. José Alfredo Jiménez Sandoval (; 19 January 1926 – 23 November 1973) was a Mexican singer-songwriter of rancheras, whose songs are considered the basis of modern Mexican music.
