Carlos Morete
Carlos Manuel Morete Markov (born 14 January 1952), commonly known as Carlos Morete, is a retired Argentine football striker. He was born in the city of Munro in Greater Buenos Aires, and is one of the few players to have played for and won titles with Argentina's three biggest clubs: River Plate, Boca Juniors and Independiente. He was part of 5 championship winning teams in Argentina as well as being the topscorer in three Argentine championships. He scored 245 top goals in the Argentine Primera División and La Liga in Spain making him one of the top marksmen in the history of football. Career Morete started his career at the age of 18 with River Plate, he was twice topscorer in Nacional 1972 and in Metropolitano 1974 and won his first league title with River in Metropolitano 1975. Munro, Buenos Aires
Munro is a city of the Vicente López Partido in northern Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina, best known for its jeans and apparel stores and outlets. It is located some 20 km from the downtown of the city. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of Villa Adelina, Carapachay and Martínez on the north; Villa Ballester on the west; Florida Este in the south; and Olivos to the east. Metropolitano Championship
The Metropolitano championship ("Campeonato Metropolitano") was an Argentine football tournament which existed between 1967 and 1984. The Metropolitano formed one half of the Primera División, taking place in the first half of the year, while the Nacional championship ("Campeonato Nacional") took place in the 2nd half of the year. This arrangement lasted until 1982 when they were reversed. The Metropolitano and Nacional were abandoned to make way for European style seasons beginning in 1985–1986.
