Carlos Montalbán
Carlos Montalbán y Merino (June 5, 1904March 28, 1991) was a Mexican character actor. Early life Montalbán was born in Torreón in Coahuila, Mexico, the son of Ricarda Merino Jiménez and Genaro Balbino Montalbán Busano, a store manager. His parents were Spanish. Career Montalbán was the older brother of actor Ricardo Montalbán and is remembered for portraying two different characters named "Vargas" in well-remembered films; '' The Out-of-Towners'' (1970) starring Jack Lemmon, and Woody Allen's ''Bananas'' (1971). His best remembered role is likely in the American boxing drama ''The Harder They Fall'' (1956), where he plays the sympathetic manager of a heavyweight contender. He appeared as "''El Exigente''" in a series of coffee advertisements for Savarin Coffee in the 1960s and 1970s. The Mysterians
is a 1957 Japanese tokusatsu science fiction film directed by Ishirō Honda, with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya. The film begins with a giant fissure destroying an entire village. This leads to an investigation whereby the source is discovered to be Moguera, a giant robot, who is then destroyed by the military. The remains are analyzed and discovered to be of alien origin. Shortly after, an alien race known as the Mysterians arrive, declaring they have taken some Earth women captive and that they demand both land and the right to marry women of Earth. For ''The Mysterians'', producer Tomoyuki Tanaka recruited Jojiro Okami, a science fiction writer, to develop the story. Mario Alcalde (September 6, 1926 – April 22, 1971) was an American film and television actor. Alcalde was born in Key West, Florida, the son of Armando Alcalde. Alcalde attended the American Theatre Wing. He began his screen career in 1954, appearing in the television drama series ''Robert Montgomery Presents''. Alcalde then made an appearance in the 1956 film '' Crowded Paradise'', which starred Hume Cronyn and Nancy Kelly. He played as Juan Figueroa. In the early 1950s he had also acted on stage, appearing in an Off-Broadway production of the play ''Bullfight''.
