Carlos MartÃnez (actor)
Carlos MartÃnez (born 30 September 1955) is a Spanish Mime artist, mime actor. He has participated in the formation of various theatre groups and has taught mime and theatre in public schools, at the University of Zaragoza and at numerous international art seminars. He has published two manuals on mime, ''In Silence'' and ''Word of Mime''. Early life Carlos MartÃnez was born 30 September 1955 in Pravia (Asturias), Spain. At the age of 12, he moved to Barcelona, where he discovered his love for acting. He entered the pantomime school "Taller de Mimo y Teatro Contemporáneo" (1980), the performing arts school "El Timbal" (1981) and studied under professors such as Manuel Carlos Lillo and Jorge Vera (1982–1987). Carlos MartÃnez worked throughout Europe and in countries as diverse as Brazil, Canada, Chile, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, and the USA. Carlos Leopoldo MartÃnez Garrido (born 12 February 1989) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Lincoln Red Imps as a winger. Club career Born in Córdoba, Andalusia, MartÃnez started playing as a senior with Villanueva CF in the 2006–07 campaign, in Tercera División. He moved to Córdoba CF in January 2007, being assigned to the youth setup. On 7 September 2011 MartÃnez played his first match as a professional, starting in a 1–0 away win against Real Murcia, for the season's Copa del Rey. He spent the vast majority of his spell playing with the reserves also in the fourth level, however. On 10 July 2012 MartÃnez joined Lucena CF, in Segunda División B. He continued to appear in the third level in the following campaigns, representing La Hoya Lorca CF and FC Cartagena. Carlos MartÃnez Gorriarán is a Spanish scholar, born in San Sebastián, Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, Spain. After being a member of marxist and basque nationalist movements, he became one of the founding members and spokespersons of ¡Basta Ya! association and head of the Plataforma Pro from which the Union, Progress and Democracy (UPyD) party emerged in September 2007. In ¡Basta Ya! he was opposed to ETA, and also to the "obligatory nationalism" that he considered to be occurring in the Basque Country. His professional career included stints in af2 for the Fresno Frenzy, in the Arena Football League for the Dallas Desperados, and in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys.
